elros - pilot project for a clean future

Pedelecs belong to the mobility concept of the future. If buses and trains are linked to public pedelecs, one speaks of intermodal services. The pilot project "elros - electric mobility in Rostock", the partners are working together for less emissions and more quality of life in the Hanseatic City of Rostock.
"Elros" is funded by the European Union and is part of the cross-border cooperation project "ELMOS - electric mobility as an integral part of urban transport concepts in small and medium cities in the southern Baltic Sea region".

Partners of the pilot project:

The municipal civil engineering and port construction office is a partner in the European project "ELMOS" with the aim to achieve the ambitious climate protection targets of the Hanseatic City of Rostock. The tourist information of the seaside resort Rostock Warnemünde sells elros day tickets to tourists.

Stadtwerke Rostock AG – the energy supplier - supports the pilot project "elros" as a local partner by providing the certifed hydroelectricity for loading the pedelecs and operation of the rental stations.
The municipality of the Baltic Sea resort Nienhagen provides as a regional partner the area for the rental station. The spa administration of the resort informs interested residents on the pilot project and sells elros day tickets to tourists.
The city council of the town Bad Doberan provides as a regional partner the area for the rental station. In tourist information Bad Doberan-Heiligendamm informs interested residents on the pilot project and sells elros day tickets to tourists.
